Bollinger Introduces E-Chassis for the B1 and B2

The E-Chassis is advertised as the world’s “first and only Class 3 electric platform”. But, the Bollinger didn’t reveal much about the upcoming heavy-duty architecture. According to the reports, the platform will be fully customizable, and it will include front-, rear-, and all-wheel-drive configurations.

The E-Chassis won’t be only ca-on-chassis architecture. Instead, the whole truck bodies will fit the new platform, which will be very useful in the future. Also, the platform can be adapted to suit various wheelbases. No doubt, with the impressive flexibility and ability, the E-Chassis will underpin most of the Bollinger’s forthcoming vehicles. The architecture will be able to accommodate 120 kWh and 180 kWh battery packs and provide a 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg) payload capacity.

Furthermore, an integrated thermal management system and an independent front/rear suspension are included as well. On top of that, Bollinger’s new platform includes a hydro-pneumatic self-leveling suspension, stability control, electronic traction, and on-board charger with 5-15 kW capacity.

Moreover, the hydro-pneumatic suspension with self-levering will be manually adjustable. As a result, the pickup can be lowered or raised by an additional 5 inches (127 mm). The drivers may shift between high and low range thanks to the column-mounted shifter. This shifter is linked to an electronic actuator and interlocks the electronic differentials via the dashboard-installed toggle switches. The Bollinger’s SUV and truck will include black paint and carbo-kevlar-treated underbodies, to reduce the damage while crossing the harsh terrains.
