The all-new 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is officially happening. General Motors teased us with a video of the new Bolt EUV model. We saw an impressive steering wheel in that video and even the Super Cruise light bar was easy to spot. It is Chevy’s first model to get the Super Cruise hands-free system.
Both EV and EUV Bolt variants will introduce a lot of novelties and the sales will begin in the first quarter of 2022. This is a very interesting model that will arrive with great performances and driving range. Chevrolet will unveil more details this February and here’s everything you need to know.
2022 Bolt EUV Design
The upcoming 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV will wear the brand’s new design language. EUV stands for the “Electric Utility Vehicle” so things are pretty clear here. This model will ride on the BEV2 platform that also underpins the regular Bolt variant. The architecture is slightly larger in the case of the Bolt EUV model. Its design is very modern and it also looks stylish.
The crossovers come with a bolder front section that hosts a brand-new grille and smaller LED headlights. The fog lights are also available and are finished in the same shape as the headlamps. To the side, Bolt EUV delivers gorgeous sharper lines and nice-looking 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear section is still a mystery, but we know that Chevrolet will opt for slimmer taillights.
Super Cruise System Available
On the inside, the new 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV will continue with the same modern approach. As we said, thanks to a slightly extended platform, the EUV variant is slightly bigger than the regular Bolt EV. Thanks to that, the interior is more spacious, as the architecture is three inches longer. There will be two rows of seats and a room for five passengers. A longer wheelbase makes more space for the battery pack, so you don’t have to worry about headroom and legroom.
The teaser video shows us a very modern steering wheel and the dashboard. There is even a Super Cruise light bar flashing in blue, red, and green colors. The green color signals that the Super Cruise feature is available. The red lamp turns on when the system determines that the driver is not paying attention. Finally, the blue color is in use once the driver takes control over the steering wheel.
As we said, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV deploys the BEV2 platform, so we expect to see similar figures as with the Bolt EV model. That includes similar battery pack sizes and the same driving range. Last Bolt EV arrived with 260 miles of range on a single charge, using the 66-kW battery pack.
On top of that, Bolt EUV will offer a single motor in its base trim level, deploying the front-wheel-drive. Dual-motor setup with a standard AWD system will be optional. At this moment, this is everything we know about Bolt EUV and its specs.
2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Release Date, Price
The price of the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is not available yet. However, GM will unveil its new model on February 14 and even Walt Disney World is involved. We don’t know which part will Disney play, but the teaser is very interesting. The sales will begin in the first quarter of 2022.
