Its been almost four decades since the first Camry model was made. Now, the 2021 Toyota Camry is in the works and this model will be the best one yet. Camry is one of the most reliable and most popular models in the sedan segment. For 2021, Camry will get so many upgrades. It will become one of the brand’s first models to offer a new Safety Sense 2.5+ suite.
Moreover, the XSE Hybrid variant will also debut. Toyota will provide further styling upgrades, new displays, and new exterior paints. Some trim levels will gain unique features and amenities and the new Camry will provide more luxury than the outgoing model. Lastly, the customers are happy to hear that the first-ever TRD Camry will become available. On the other hand, the “L” trim level is not available anymore.
2021 Camry Changes and Colors
New 2021 Toyota Camry will gain a more distinguished look, especially up front. The LE and XLE trims will continue in the same fashion as before, but SE and XSE models will gain more sportiness. The new front fascia includes a restyled lower intake area. The LE trim will get new 17-inch alloy wheels, while the XLE is available with a redesigned 18-inch alloy rims.
The SE and XSE grades will arrive with bolder fascia, new honeycomb-style grille, and refreshed side vents. Toyota will replace Blue Streak Metallic paint with new Blueprint exterior color. The Camry TRD trim will introduce Ice Edge paint with a two-tone roof scheme. The XSE trim will also get a new two-tone design.
New Safety Sense 2.5+ Available
The forthcoming 2021 Toyota Camry will introduce brand-new 7-inch and 9-inch displays. The same units can be found in the new-generation Toyota RAV4 crossover. Thanks to that, this sedan will provide more customizable features and easier access. If you want greater functionality, Toyota offers another 7-inch multi-information display.
On the other hand, XLE and XSE grades are available with a 10-inch Head-Up display. Finally, the Camry sedan is one of Toyota’s first models to introduce the new Safety Sense 2.5+ suite. As for the cabin design and its layout, things should largely remain.
Hybrid Gets More Power
The 2021 Toyota Camry offers three powertrain options. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 3.5-liter V6, and the next-gen hybrid variant. The standard 2.5-liter engine provides 203 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. An optional 3.6-liter V6 generates 301 horsepower and the performance is truly impressive. However, the highlight of this mid-size sedan is its hybrid powertrain. This setup will combine a standard 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine with electric motors.
It is a hybrid-gasoline combination that delivers up to 208 horsepower. This is the new-gen hybrid system with more power. The previous version delivered 176 horses. As for the fuel efficiency, Camry Hybrid returns 52 mpg combined in the LE variant. As for the XSE and XLE hybrids, fuel economy is rated at 46 mpg combined.
2021 Toyota Camry Release Date and Price
The base gasoline-powered Camry sedan is available for $26,000. As for the 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid, despite improvements in terms of performance, this model will cost less than now. The SE Hybrid trim is now $1,300 cheaper and XLE’s price is reduced by $560.
If you want the XSE Hybrid, you’ll have to pay $34,000, which is affordable in our opinion. The sales of the 2021 Camry will begin by the end of 2020.
