The 2021 Porsche Taycan is almost here. It is Porsche’s first all-electric car, and it will try to rival Tesla in many ways. That includes everything from styling to the level of luxury and driving range. The question is: Can Taycan Beat Elon Musk’s lineup? We think it can. The price isn’t affordable, but Taycan comes in numerous different trim levels.
The base 4S model comes with a lot of power, and the acceleration is impressive. We don’t have to mention upper trim levels with even more luxury and stronger performances. It is a dynamic car with a great driving range, and it looks incredible. For 2021, Taycan will gain minor improvements.

2021 Porsche Taycan Provides Sporty Appearance
As we said, the 2021 Porsche Taycan should visually remain intact. This model comes with numerous different versions. However, the main difference between regular 4S and Turbo models is the wheels. Taycan 4S comes with 19-inch alloy wheels while Turbos are offering 20-inch rims.
On top of that, Turbo S is available with 21-inch wheels. You can optionally get additional carbon-fiber materials, but that will cost around $8,000. Taycan comes with a sporty appearance, and we like the simple design of the front fascia.
Color Options
One big change for 2021 will be a new color palette. The 2020 Taycan offers sixteen different exterior paints. For 2021, Porsche will deliver some new colors.
That includes Neptune Blue, Cherry Metallic, Frozenberry Metalic and Coffee Beige Metallic. Moreover, Mohagony Metallic and Ice Gray Metallic are available as well. There is a new special Crayon color as well. Even the interior will gain new color schemes, including Graphite Blue/Slate Grey and Basalt Black/Meranti Brown two-tone leather.

Impressive Cabin Layout
On the inside, a new 2021 Porsche Taycan will offer a lot of luxury. However, the manufacturer won’t deliver significant updates. It makes perfect sense as the Taycan is still a relatively fresh model. This all-electric car comes with eight-way power comfort seats.
Leather upholstery is available as standard and Porsche also offers 18-way adaptive sport seats. The comfort is excellent, and the cabin looks modern. High-Definition screens are available, and 16.8-inch instrument display dominates the interior. There are two 10.9-inch touchscreens in the dash as well.
2021 Porsche Taycan Powertrain
New 2021 Porsche Taycan will use an all-electric powertrain. The base model comes with a 79.2-kWh battery, and Porsche calls it the “Performance Battery.” Also, you can equip the 4S version with the bigger 93.4-kWh battery. The same battery powers Turbo and Turbo S variants. Bigger battery pack adds 177 lb-ft of torque, so the base model can deliver 482 hp.
On top of that, you can buy optional launch control over boost so Taycan can generate up to 523 horsepower as well. The same is with the driving range, where Taycan offers 220 miles and 250 miles outputs. All of the Taycan versions are accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds.

Price and Release Date
This electric car will arrive in the U.S. next spring. The price will start at $106,500. However, Turbo and Turbo S models will cost drastically more. The 2021 Porsche Taycan could cost almost $200,000 if you want the best possible version. You can already configure new Taycan on the Porsche’s official website so see it for yourself.
