The new system called Safety Shield includes a blind-spot monitoring, rear-driving supporting process, lane-keep assist, etc. Of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are available as part of standard equipment. Lastly, the cargo area offers an impressive 14.3 cubic feet of space. You won’t find that in most of the luxury sport sedans, right?

Engine

Under the hood of arriving 2021 Nissan Maxima Hybrid will be a combination that includes 3.5-liter DOHC 24-Valve V6 unit. On the other side, there is an electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery. The 3.5-liter powertrain can develop 300 hp with 261 lb-ft of torque.

The standard transmission is an Xtronic CVT. The company’s D-Step logic is included. This feature mimics the logic of traditional automatic, by letting the revs and fall when at full throttle. The fuel economy will be practically the same as for regular Nissan Maxima.

One of the most interesting things is that the 2021 Nissan Maxima Hybrid will cost significantly less than similar vehicles. The base version of this model will have an MSRP of around $30,000. Of course, additional equipment and special packages may raise this price to above $40,000.

But, Maxima Hybrid is definitely one of the best vehicles in this segment. However, we still don’t know the official release date. The regular Maxima is scheduled to go on the market before the fall of 2020. So, we expect that the hybrid version will come shortly after that.
