Ford continues with the mid-cycle refreshments for its Fusion model. That includes the forthcoming 2021 Ford Fusion Hybrid as well. Interestingly, but the current-generation dates all the way back to 2013. However, new mid-cycle improvements will deliver slightly more novelties than the previous updates. This mid-size sedan will surely remain one of the best choices in the segment.
The interior is spacious and tech-friendly. On the outside, this sedan looks both stylish and modern. Its Hybrid model is more than competitive, and it can easily rival the Honda Accord Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid models. Let’s find out what this practical sedan has to offer in 2021.
2021 Ford Fusion Hybrid Provides More Modern Look
This sedan has been caught on cameras recently. The upcoming 2021 Ford Fusion Hybrid will gain a couple of exciting exterior upgrades. The all-new Fusion will get improved aerodynamics and slightly larger exterior features. We like how the C-pillar and D-pillar are looking more separated than before. It provides a cleaner look, and it looks modern. New and larger tires are also in the offer.
Fusion Hybrid won’t depart from the regular model at all. While the goal is to borrow as much as possible cues from the Escape crossover, Fusion is still closer to the Ford Edge model. Still, the spy shots are not showing all of the modifications, so expect even more refreshments.

Trim Levels
The forthcoming 2021 Ford Fusion Hybrid will be available in three trim levels: SE, SEL, and Titanium. The only stand-alone option is the sunroof that is optional on SE and SEL models. The base SE is the entry-level variant. It offers basic stuff such as dual-zone climate control or push-button ignition system. New 2021 model will provide more driver-assistance aids, including adaptive cruise control.
Still, if you want a larger 8-inch touchscreen or LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, those features are optional. The SEL adds LED headlights, remote engine start, keyless entry, and heated mirrors. Even the leather-wrapped steering wheel is in the offer. However, real luxury is available with the Titanium trim level. Fusion Hybrid Titanium offers everything above and additional stylish tweaks such as ambient lighting, leather upholstery and ventilated front seats.

2021 Ford Fusion Hybrid Engine
The upcoming 2021 Ford Fusion Hybrid is available with a 2.0-liter Atkinson-Cycle I-4 engine. This engine solely delivers 141 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque. However, the electric motor will add more power, so the total hybrid output has been rated at 188 horsepower.
Moreover, Fusion Hybrid delivers slightly more twists. Most importantly, mid-size sedan delivers 43 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. That makes 42 mpg combined, which is more than competitive. A Plug-In Hybrid version is available as well. It uses the same output, but it delivers even better fuel efficiency.

Price and Release Date
The price of the brand-new 2021 Ford Fusion Hybrid will start at around $30,000. The current model costs $28,000, so expect a small increase in price. The mid-size sedan will go on sale later in 2020, most likely this fall.
