2021 Audi A7 Plug-In Hybrid Engine
The forthcoming 2021 Audi A7 Plug-In Hybrid will produce 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. This version uses a turbo-four 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor. Interestingly, the electric motor adds 27 horses and torque level is the same as in the regular A7 model. The hybrid system is paired with Audi’s Quattro AWD system and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The hybrid system gives the driver the ability to choose where the power will go and how much power comes out from the engine or the motor.
The vehicle automatically activates the hybrid mode when route guidance is in use. Moreover, A7 PHEV will automatically optimize the battery and engine, so the efficiency is better. EV mode is in use for as long as the driver doesn’t accelerate quickly. We are still waiting for the manufacturer to provide exact fuel efficiency details and some other figures. A7 PHEV will offer a 14.1-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that provides 17 miles of all-electric driving range and 54 MPGe. However, this isn’t official.
Price and Release Date
The price of the new 2021 Audi A7 Plug-In Hybrid starts at $76,000. As we said, the automaker offers a lot of optional packages. For instance, the Premium Plus version will cost up to $85,000, and the Prestige version around $91,000. The sales will start this fall, and the PHEV variant will be available in the U.S.
