The Japanese automaker announced that 2020 Mazda MX-300 Electric Crossover is available for the pre-orders. The pre-orders refers to most of the European markets, at the moment. The customers in the UK and the US will have to wait a little longer for the debut. Mazda claims that the brand-new MX-300 will offer a “pure, unique Jinba Ittai driving experience.
Furthermore, the same Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture from the CX-30 and Mazda3, as well as the electric G-Vectoring Control Plus feature, will be available for the MX-300 model as well. The e-GVC Plus is designed to improve the consistency of vehicle response to control input. Also, it helps to achieve a seamless transition between G forces.
The electric G-Vectoring Control Plus brings natural feedback through accurate torque control and sound. So, the driver will always know what’s going on and what the vehicle is doing.

2020 Mazda MX-30 Engine
The upcoming 2020 Mazda MX-300 will present a brand-new electric drive technology – the e-Skyactiv. The engine will include a 35.5-kWh lithium-ion battery, which will provide a driving range of 124 miles (200 km). According to the date from the company-sponsored survey, this range is far better than the average daily drive of the European customers, which is 30 miles (48 km).
Still, Mazda keeps the official spect and engine nad electric motor details well-hidden from the public. But, we know for sure that the e-TPV prototype used to test the crossover’s engine features includes a motor that produces 141 hp (105 kW/143 PS) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm) of torque.
However, the performance specs are still unknown. For example, the charging time is a bit of mystery. But Mazda claims that it will be done through AC power of up to 6.6 kW. The second option might be a DC power, that will include either COMBO standard or the CHAdeMO quick charging method.

What About the Design?
As for design, 2020 Mazda MX-30 Electric Crossover will introduce a “Human Modern” styling concept. Besides, we’ll see the Freestyle center pillar-less doors as well. At the front, the doors will have an 82-degree opening angle and an 80-degree the rear. This approach represents a new evolution of the famous Kodo design language.
Moreover, one of the main focal points of the cabin will be the floating center console. The console includes the company’s first 7-inch touchscreen air-conditioning panel. Also, the interior offers unique eco-friendly features, like fibers from recycled plastic bottles, and a Premium Vintage Leatherette or the seats.
On top of that, the center console will feature cork harvested from the bark of trees. The pre-sales of the upcoming electric crossover starts in March 2020. However, the deliveries will begin in the second half of the year. The estimated starting price of 2020 MX-300 will be $37,400.
